Well, we may have had a small group over the weekend, but it was a passionate group and we had a great time!
Our test/demo vehicle was provided by Jess, and it was in extremely good condition when you consider that this truck is 17 years old and has over a quarter of a million miles on the odometer!! Still there were plenty of swirls.....
... quite a few bird dropping etch marks.....
... and some nasty looking scratches on the front fender.
We removed all the loose contaminants from the hood and then clayed it as it felt pretty rough.
This is what we picked up from just a small area on the hood.
We then proceeded with initial paint correction using Ultimate Compound, a W8207 Soft Buff 2.0 foam pad, and the G110v2 set to speed 5.
That was followed with Ultimate Polish and then Ultimate Wax, each using a fresh W9207 Soft Buff 2.0 finishing pad, and the tool speed dropped one successive notch for each product.
In the sunshine this is the half & half following correction - it's plain where the tape line was, with swirls still remaining on the upper portion and clear, highly reflective paint revealed on the lower portion.
Remember that etched bird dropping? Gone.
How about those nasty scratches on the fender? Gone. Oh, and this is with just Ultimate Compound - no polish or wax here yet!
With the demo out of the way we let the guys step in and try their hand at using the G110v2.
