after wet sanding with 2500 grit which compound to use? M105 or Ultimate compound

I'm planning to polish the bike's small fenders and tank just by hand

    any suggestions?

will both work? or M105 would be the best for this kind of task?

M105 is always a safe bet.

thanks a lot mike... now my only problem is that M105 sells for $42 per 230ml bottle...

      but still a great product...

My vote would be M105 as well.

          Wow! That is pricy.

Just to maybe save you some money, you can surly try UC, especially if you already have it on hand.

M105 FTW. dont complain about the price, you want something that works, use M105 simple as that.
M105 will clean up 2500 wetsanding marks & let you go straight to M205. 2 steps done & done.
take it from me, i have about 15 yrs exp & i gave up all of my 3M compounds basically just for M105.
i used to use all 3M RUbbing Compounds to clean up wetsanding scratches but not anymore.
i keep some 3M laying around bc i cant imagine not seeing it on the shelf but it collects dust now.

M105: buy it, use it, love it & forget about what it costs bc it works that good.

First off, thanks for starting a dedicated thread on this topic - you're getting more traffic here than in that quite old thread where you asked the same question and, while PMing me was fine, this is a question that others might have too and so a dedicated thread is the best way to go all around.

That said, we would definitely go with M105 for hand work when removing sanding marks. Sure, it might be $20 more in your area than Ultimate Compound, but given the scope of this project that's probably a very small price to pay for successfully achieving your ultimate goal - a new paint job you can be proud of. And there will be plenty of times when you can put M105 to use on other things, too. Overall, it's just the better choice for this project.

my bike should look like this one

will the 237ml M105 be enough for all the yellow shade shown in the picture?

I'm not sure why meguiar's being overpriced in our country... I talked to the official distributor of Meguiar's

One bottle should easily be enough.

Well, I think... I hope you've just answered my question for me as well guys
was considering posting a new topic/question in '101'..........
Am replacing the ducktail on the back end of a GSX1400, have primed, sanded, and put down probably 5 coats of gloss black to reveal quite a bit of orange peel from the rattlecans....
so..... wet sanded back with 1500 followed by 2000 and need to bring the deep colour back and some shine prior to laying down some clearcoat.
Have got a nice dull surface at the moment and was seriously concerned about using UC to be honest as the bodywork is all curved surfaces and edges.

Now just have to find someone over here in Oz that retails M105 I guess

                    Cheers Rogues
