How to remove water spots from headliner?

Someone told me distilled water with some woolite and a microfiber cloth would work any other suggestions? my sunroof had a small leak so the water got on the headliner and caused water spots.

Sure, plain water is going to be mildest to try. You can use something like APC, APC+.. other fabric cleaner.

The key is only dabbing/blotting gently, and only getting the surface damp.

You do not want to wet the area. Once the area gets fairly damp, then stop and let it dry out some.

i dunno i put some distilled water on a microfiber cloth and tried removing the water spots then took dry cloth to dry the area but still no hope looks spotty so i dunno maybe i have to try mixing a lil woolite with the distilled water?

Yeah, you can put a little in... trying to stay as mild as possible.

I also have some water stains in the headliner in my truck. What part Woolite to water would be best?
