  • How to remove scratches from polished chrome ?

    I own a detailing shop...
And I use NXT all metal polish for removing oxidation from chrome parts in customer cars
However, I usually fail to remove deep scratches from the polished metal surface

Is there a way to do that using any of Meguiar's product ?
Would rotary buffing do any good ?

Chrome is a very hard surface and removal of deep scratches can be both a challenge and dangerous. The chrome plating isn't terribly thick so if you're dealing with a scratch that is deep enough to feel with your fingernail then trying to buff down to the bottom of that scratch will likely remove more of the plating than you should without compromising the finish.

OK, and what about swirl marks on chrome surfaces ?
Can we buff it with normal polishes/compounds ? If yes, which would work best ? #83, #85, #105, or the ultra polish ?

105 should do it but it will take some time since chrome is hard plated surface. Good metal polish should work well also.
