I have aftermarket wheels on a couple of my cars, and one set is most definitely painted, with a polished lip, and fully clear coated. Now, just because these wheels of mine are painted doesn't mean all aftermarket wheels are, just as your aftermarket Enkei and Moda wheels being powdercoated does not guarantee that others are, too.
But the bottom line here is this: the coating used by the OEMs on their wheels (even polished aluminum because the OEMs put a clear on those as well due to the high level of maintenance required for bare highly polished aluminum) can easily hold up to this product, but the coatings used on aftermarket brake parts (calipers and rotor hats) usually can not. That's what's important here. Period.
