clear coat for headlights?

is there such a thing as a clear coat for headlights? waht about the dupli-color clearcoat lacquer, would it be safe to use on headlights or anything around those lines?

I just did my headlights... there weren't that bad... used some UC and then topped it of with NXT 2.0 for some UV protection and a bit of sealing.

I know this is an old thread. But since I here, here's my 2cents. I've clear bra'd the lenses along with the front fascia for my solution.
