is 105 more aggressive than d300? I am using the d300/301 and I think I need something more aggressive than 300 on my very hard CC.

Yes 105 is more aggressive. There is a post that actually discusses this more, but I can't seem to find it right now. I will look some more.

M105 is indeed more aggressive than D300. I've used D300 with great results on hard Corvette and ceramic clearcoats, lots of pressure and long work time. On occasion I run into something stubborn that would take multiple passes of D300 instead of the usual 4 small dots of D300 I went with two dots of D300 and two dots of M105 on the MF cutting pad. Best of both worlds... increased cut of M105, ease of use and clean wipeoff of D300 as well as the good finishing charactoristics of both with less dusting than 105 alone. YMMV.

There's an interesting tactic. Thanks TL.

Thanks for the info, I plan on getting the 105 and doing the 50/50 blend - it sounds like a great idea.

As stated above, M105 is more aggressive than D300.

Ultra Cut Compound works with microfiber discs so if more cut is needed it can replace D300 (or you could do 50/50 D300/M105 mix: 2 dots of each).

I actually find m105 works best with the microfiber disks. It cuts great and does not dust nearly as much as the foam pads. Allows for working in the sun which is usually unheard of with m105.
