Well the title really says it, doesn't it?
Android or Apple, we've got a free MOL forum app available for download now. So go get it, then come back and finish reading this post for information.
Got it?
Good.
OK, we know there are going to be lots of questions, comments and recommendations so we'll start by saying that this app is actually part of the vBulletin software package that MOL uses so the functionality that exists is what it is. But you have access to all areas of the forum that you normally would on a laptop/desktop computer, you can send PMs, start threads, make posts, etc. Your regular login info remains the same, of course, but the navigation looks a bit different, as you might expect. For Apple users the app is an iPhone rather than iPad app so if you want to run it on the iPad you can but it will have that iPhone look to it. That said, it still looks good even at 2X size on the iPad and it will let you upload photos using the iPad (accessing the forum via Safari on the iPad won't let you upload to the gallery since you can't browse the drive of an Apple mobile device). With either platform when adding an image to your post it will do so, but rather than being an inline image in the post it will show up as an image link. That means viewers of your post will have to click on the image in order to see it, but at least if you're working on your car and have a question, you can post to the forum via your phone and include an image to better convey the issue at hand. Or just show off when you're done detailing.
So play with the app and post up comments, questions, cool things you've found, etc in this thread and we can all share and learn together.
