On Saturday, September 17, 2011 Meguiar's and WalMart will be holding the Time To Shine Event and we want you there!

Bring the family out, call all your friends, get the word out to your car club. This is a no entry fee event and People's Choice Awards will be given for the following:

• Best of Show
• Best Interior
• Best Engine
• Best Paint

Come on out and meet Barry Meguiar, check out our big rig, and just hang out with a bunch of car guys for a great day of fun!

We'll be giving a Meguiar's goodie bag to the first 150 vehicles entered in the event along with limited edition Meguiar's T-Shirts and pins!

If you are anywhere near Oak Grove, KY on September 17th, you'll want to be here!

The previous event, held in June at the Secaucus, NJ WalMart Supercenter was a big success. Pictures from that event can been seen here and here. Come on down to Oak Grove in September and let's do it all over again!

I was sent an email by one of my site members about this, so I've posted it on our local events calendar even though it's about 2.5hrs away:

If you guys are looking for a large turnout at these events (600+), you should look into the southeast market via Atlanta or even the Huntsville area. The Huntsville area can pull people from 3 different states as there are about 4 million people in the surrounding cities that don't get to go to events like this locally. That in itself will be an incentive to come. Feel free to contact me if you need more info on the Huntsville/North Alabama market, 615-512-5520.

New Jersey was an awesome event.

Oak Grove is shaping up to be a tremendous one as well. Barry and the Meguiar's Team are looking forward to a great show --- right next to Fort Campbell Military Base! This show will have 2 Meguiar's Big Rigs and a ton of other stuff for the guests to experience.

Tentatively we have soda and water companies participating as well as the Johnsonville Brat Big Taste Grill coming. We need a roll call for participants!

Who's in? Registration will start at 7:00 am for this one on Saturday!

Hmmm...interesting. I guess I could tell everyone to buy from just one walmart if we want this event, lol. That should show a spike in sales.

I know some of the local Corvette guys are going to this, but it's probably less than a dozen.
