Re: D/A Getting Hot Quick ?

In case others come across this thread like I did.

I ran across this thread because I had heat issues with my new polisher. Turns out it was that I didn't put the little plastic washer between the backing pad and the buffer. The screws on the backing bad were pressing against the counterweight and causing it to not spin freely. it oscilated, but did not spin. Once I put the washer in place the buffer works fantastic! A great machine.

I'll add my comments to this problem as soon as I receive my polisher. Just curious as to where you purchased your G110v2 polisher and when? I ordered mine direct from Mequir's back in June and after several "back ordered notices" I still have yet to get it. Assuming you just got one, maybe it was on a shelf for several months before being sold? I'm getting a little impatient and want to use mine before the snow flies! Thanks ................

Walmart in NH. Found it based on this thread. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...-Walmart/page2
I was in the same boat. Wanted to get it done sooner as fall is moving in. Did pay $180. But I justified it as I didn't have to wait or pay shipping fees. I'm certain there are better deals out there online.

I got mine from Auto Detailing Solutions in Chandler, AZ- Rick is his name. I paid about 130 something. No shipping cause I live in the area. Bought it about 2 months ago. It is an outstanding product and has cut my work in half.

Re: D/A Getting Hot Quick ?

OK I finally got my D/A the end of October .... What a joke It only took 4 months to get it and all the supplies with it. Anyways I first used it the end of October and did my son's Pontiac Vibe GT and it was awesome. I then went to use it two weeks later and it started acting up. It would run for about 3 seconds and then trip out. Turn off, then back on and it would do it again. Every now & then it would "ramp up & down" then quit. A few times it actually stayed on like it's suppose to. I'll read up here and see what the problem could be. Probably brush related BUT c'mon, I only used it 15 minutes at the most
