    CTS, Yaris, Corolla and G5

Last week-end was a long 3 day week-end here in Canada. But no time to relax, I had 4 client's cars booked.

    Saturday, May 21
2009 Toyota Corolla CE, very base model with 58025 km.
Was not washed in months… In fact, the owner didn’t even remember the last time it was cleaned. The paint had a lot of brake dust that needed to be removed. According to the owner, a wax was not necessary !!!

    Process:
Washed the tires, wheels and wells with APC
Washed with Shampoo Plus and APC
    Clayed with Meg’s blue clay
    Rewashed with Shampoo Plus
    Jambs with Last Touch
    Vacuum
Interior plastic cleaned with hot water and APC+
    Cleaned glass with NXT
Interior dressed with Quick Interior Detailer
    Tires dressed with ASD

And, even if it was not requested, I gave a quick coat of Ultimate Quick Wax.

    Before :
Not too bad from a distance :

    In the afternoon
2008 Pontiac G5 GT with 54900 km. Exterior only. The paint needed a polish and seal though.

Washed rims, tires and wells with APC, but Wheel Brightener was needed for the 2 fronts rims.
Washed with Ultimate Wash & Wax
    Jambs with Last Touch
    Tires dressed with ASD

The G5 and the Corolla, both waiting to be pickedup by the clients.

Interior dressed with Quick Interior Detailer
    Tires dressed with ASD
    #135 as a final wipe

    After :
The lady was very happy with the results.
The sun finally came out for the final pictures.

Last one, but far from being the least.

    Monday, May 23
2009 Cadillac CTS4 with only 33672 km. Was pretty clean to begin with. Customer wanted it to be looking new and he was very pleased with the results. It is the 3rd time in 3 years that I see this car for a full job.

    Process:
Washed the tires, wheels and wells with APC. Front rims needed WB.
Washed with Shampoo Plus and APC
Under the hood was cleaned with APC+ and hot water. But not dressed as per client’s request
    Clayed with Meg’s blue clay
    Rewashed with Gold Class
    Jambs cleaned with Last Touch
    Polished with Ultimate Polish
    Waxed with Ultimate Liquid
    Vacuum
Interior plastic cleaned with hot water and APC+
    Cleaned glass with NXT
Interior dressed with Quick Interior Detailer
Meg’s Motorcycle chrome polish on exhaust tips
    Tires dressed with ASD
    #135 as a final wipe

    Before :
No pictures of the interior as it was pretty clean to begin with.

    After :
Again, the sun came out for the pictures.

    Thanks for looking.

You didn't get much rest that 3-day weekend, that's for sure.

    Great job.

You've put Ultimate Liquid Wax on a variety of cars and colors. I'm just curious how long did you wait after applying and removing ULW before you did the 135 wipe down?

Do you put on your ULW by hand or machine? When you're working with it, is the ULW difficult to see on white?

    Again, great job.

    Thanks for your comment.

ULW is almost impossible to see on those light colored cars when it is dry. I used my G100 with a red 5,5" LC pad for the application, then removed with SS microfiber towels.

After removing the wax, I made the last touch to the interior, then dressed the tires, trims and wheel wells, then did the 135 wipe down. Mostly to make sure I removed all the wax. That was maybe 30-45 minutes after the wax was removed.

ULW made the white color very bright on those Toyota for sure.
I've used it also on my dark blue Pontiac Vibe with great results also. The paint on my car now looks very deep and wet. You can see pictures of my car is this thread : http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=49506

The trick is to put a v ery very thin layer on this wax. If not, it is kind of difficult to remove without having streaks.
