    Hello I have several hard type 2 water spots on my hood can anyone help me on what I can do to remove them I already tried buffing them out with polish with a buffer but no luck

      i used menzerna polish recommended by my sprayer friend and a rotary buffer but used it on low speed cause I didnt want to make it worse

        It sounds like they etched deeply.

        You need to remove more paint to level them.

        How old is the vehicle? Are you working on factory paint or resprayed area?

          its a 95 ford escort and no its a resprayed area

            If that area was resprayed then the paint should be softer than factory one.

            What Menzerna product did you use? Was it a cleaner/ polish or just polish? Are these spots fresh or etched already?

            Fresh spot can be treated with a clay first.

            If it's old/ etched then you need some abrasives to remove enough surrounding paint and level those water spots.

              it was a polish/cleaner and no these are not fresh cause first step i did was clay first than polish with buffer but they were there for just 2weeks as i didnt wash my car for 2 weeks had house problems to take care off

                It looks like something stronger is needed (compound).

                Some deep water spots require even sanding.
