Pictures from Thursday Night Open Garage - March 17th, 2011

The first TNOG of the year, and we packed the house....... and the garage, too!

Great to see some new faces coming out last night along with the hard core regulars who never miss a session. Lots of great knowledge shared, and plenty of learnin' going on too!

Stephan rolled in with a lightly used and wonderfully cared for Volvo wagon that was loaded with..... questions! Stephan soaked up info like a sponge, and his enthusiasm set the tone for the rest of the night.

With plans for doing a DA Microfiber Correction System demo as well as putting the system into the hands of anyone wanting to give it a go, we went in search of a proper candidate.

Mike Pennington helps out with some headlight restoration.

    Pizza line!

Looks like we found a candidate for the DA Microfiber System - tiny water mark etchings, fine scratches, even some sanding marks.

So we gave a full run down on the system, the ins and outs of the finer points of using it, etc. Then did a little demo before cutting everyone else loose on the system.

Anthony here is using a DA buffer for the very first time. In fact, prior to last night, he'd never even seen a DA buffer. And he wasn't just buffing, he was trying to remove sanding marks.

Not too shabby for a total novice, huh?

DA Microfiber Finishing Wax - Easiest wipe off you've ever seen!

We kept playing with the DA Microfiber System on other cars throughout the evening, getting fantastic results on everything we faced.

Tyler rolled in with this '93 Honda sporting its original factory paint. It was looking a little dull but the DA Microfiber System brightened it back up in no time. We thought it was white until we buffed it out - now it's really white!! This shot might be a good test for you monitor as it was hard to capture with the camera, but the difference in color and brightness was striking.

All in all, a fantastic night! Thanks to everyone for coming out and spending time in Meguiar's Garage. See you in a few weeks!

Looks like fun! Wish I was on th West Coast so I could go to these!

You are right about the Finishing Wax being the easiest wipe off. I am loving that Finshing Wax!

Another Great Night! Hopefully Andy can get some pictures he snapped of the charcoal Acura up.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
      Remove swirls my friends.
