      Yah, that was for NXT...I thought he answered basically the same for M21 also though.

        A couple of weeks ago TimG quoted a post from a Indonesian forum which had pictures of the Meguiars Asia Pacific Middle East Sales & Marketing Meeting held in Sydney, Australia.

        These photos and comment appeared amongst all the others - was wondering if this is the Ultimate Wax in action?:

          Re: Ultimate Wax

          To me the most important thing stated about this product is that it does NOT include any cleaning components. This provides positive layering attributes and also helps alleviate concerns of removing polishing oils from a previous step ("step" being a keyword here with the introduction of Ultimate Polish). It positions it more as a pure LSP than NXT 2.0, which is not exactly an AIO but has cleaning elements. I also assume the lack of cleaner contributes to the non-staining feature which is huge.

          Second important is the increased durability - if nothing else a "sealant" must be durable by definition and NXT 2.0 wasn't matching up well in the market as of late. Third is, of course, the increased "shine" of which importance is self explanatory. These three attributes together, as Akimel pointed out earlier, match it up competitively with the likes of BFWD. Ultimate Wax is a product that was needed in Megs lineup and kinda expected as it is just time. Great move on all accounts.

          Now, aside from the most important, the most interesting part is the claim that it "darkens" the appearance of the paint. I don't really know of any synthetic making this claim (do you?) so this could be a unique attribute of this product - technologically bridging a synthetic into the carnauba space.

            How are Ultimate Wax and Ultimate Quik Wax related? Are they alternatives to each other or will UQW now be viewed as a "topper" for UW?

              It would be interesting to hear the official response to this.

              To me it sounds like they are related due to the following:

              - They both don't stain trim;
              - They both darken the paint;
              - They both can be applied in direct sunlight or on warm surfaces.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

                NXT 2.0 is essentially the consumer version of M21 2.0. Ultimate Wax is, as has been stated, a clean sheet formulation.

                UQW has never been an alternative to any proper liquid or paste wax - it is a maintenance product only.

                  No, that is a coating unique to international markets, almost exclusively Asia.

                    Here's a little shot taken at our SEMA booth - it's the foam applicator pad and microfiber towel packaged with Ultimate Wax. Notice anything different about them?

                      Hmmm, I think the black applicator is a no go, to be honest. The yellow one is great for checking on cleanliness (whether it be during application or after cleaning for re-use), and is pretty much the "ultimate" applicator already.

                            Totally agree Mike. But would you say the technology they use is the same or related due to the reasons stated in my post below?

                              I like the new applicator being black, if Ultimate wax is like nxt or M21 then you'll easily be able to see how much product is on the black pad because of there lighter colors.

                                I'd like to see if my applicator has any dirt/contaminants and if it needs any sort of cleaning. The yellow applicator makes it easy to see those dirt/particles, but the NXT's included applicator is also dark purple which makes it also difficult to see if any foreign matter made it into the applicator.

                                No biggie in my opinion. I think it adds to the mystique of the ultimate wax. same as with the other ultimate meguiars product, i think black is the Meguiar's Ultimate Division color.. As with NXT's purple and deep crystal's maroon. As long as it delivers what it promises.
