Needing help with rubber trim around my trunk...

Should I try to glue it back with something? I've tried regluar super glue but it doesn't hold well. What could adhesive would work if anything? If there is nothing that I could use other than super glue, would it look better if I just cut the trim out of the trunk area? Thank you for your time guys!

There is a black adhesive made just for weatherstrips. It's called 3M Weatherstrip adhesive and should be available in any parts store. You'll need to to tape the loose piece in place long enough for the glue to set up. Won't be perfect, but if repaired carefully it will look much better. It appears from your picture that the damaged area is not on the actual sealing surface of the w/strip. If so, you can attempt to neatly trim away the torn area without compromising the seal.

Adding to that, weather stripping is pretty cheap. Your local parts store should have it in bulk, kits for specific vehicles and single pieces for specific vehicles. So if the piece is too damaged to seal, get another since you have to adhere it anyway.

And a word of caution with the 3M weather strip adhesive, use in a well ventilated area, that stuff is strong and toxic. Wear Nitrile gloves too if you're worried about getting it on your skin. It doesn't wash off, it wears off. We used to call it 'Black Death', it's nasty stuff.

The above advice is certainly worth taking. I've used it (3m Weatherstrip adhesive) myself and the stuff is rock solid!
