    Spilled Methanol -- Remove Strecks?

Hi All, I accidentally spilled a mix of water & methanol on my original paint on my 77 Datsun 280Z. Is there anyway I can remove the streaks?
    Thank you, Roger

Re: Spilled Methanol -- Remove Strecks?

What have you tried so far and do you have pics?

I would try APC 10:1 ( will remove wax too )

If APC doesn't work then Mild polish should do it , I would try DC1 Paint cleaner or swirlX

Curious to see what others think

APC stands for All Purpose Cleaner.

I'm thinking the streaks may be the deterioration of the paint. Methanol is used in paint strippers.

    Pictures may help.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
