best combo 105/205 or 83/205

    best combo 105/205 or 83/205

    hi,
    I'm prepare to make my first detailling and this the steps would make:

    -wash
    -claying
    -remove swirls
    -polishing
    -waxing

    I buy a lot of stocks to do my job and I know in first do a test spot with my least agressive pad and product and it is enough,I up to more agressive pad and product.

    But my question is what is the best combo to remove swirls:105 with a light cutting pad and 205 with a polishing pad or 83 with light cutting pad and 205 with polishing pad?

    It is possible to have micro marring with this set-up?

    #105/#205 would let you cover a wider range of defects.

      It depends on your type of paint, severity of defects, level of correction required etc.

      Like you said, start with a test spot using the the least agressive combo and work your way up until you get the desired results.

      So be prepared to try both...
