  • What is the best way to remove sticky build up of protectant on interior?

    Hi,

I just bought a car that had been professionally detailed on a regular basis, the only problem is that whatever they used on the interior has left it sticky feeling and there is a lot of build up.

What is the best way to remove this build up?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to MOL!

Spray some Meguiar's APC or APC+ onto a microfiber towel or applicator pad and wipe down all the plastic surfaces. This should remove any and all old dressings. Then you can follow up with something like Natural Shine, Supreme Shine, or Quik Interior Detailer.

That would be the best way.

        Welcome aboard Mike!

Meguiar's APC+ diluted 8:1 with water. Spray the area and let sit for a minute then wipe off with a towel, repeat this until clean. This will not only remove all the old buildup but will clean everything as well.

If you want to reapply an interior product to restore a nice luster to the vinyl try Meguiar's M40.
