Thumbs up #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax Rocks!

I have been using NXT a great deal and I wanted to use some of my other products. I had great success on my Buick with this so I figure why not try it out again.

The vehicle had wax on it already, so no glaze or clay bar needed. Just washed and dried and applied thinly by hand. I must say this stuff does indeed rock! I did a whole Dodge Ram 1500 in about 15 minutes. I waited a little while, maybe 45 mins to 1 hour. I did a swipe test and no streaking. I buffed off with a Terry cloth towel and it came of easier then NXT 2.0 does!!

I was fighting the sun a little but even the stuff in the shade dried nicely and came off in no time.

Let it sit for 4 hrs and then followed up with Ult Quick Wax.

This is a very good product and now its all about the upkeep.

You can get this at most local auto parts stores incase you were wondering!!

Re: #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax Rocks!

I have been using #26 for years on detail jobs to follow up after speed glaze or #07 and it has always performed better than expected. On/off easily and for me it doesn't seem to be affected by extremes in temperature as much as my experiences with NXT 2.0 has. Although when I say affected I mean it was 80%+ humidity and 44 degrees celcius the last time I used NXT, so I am more than a little sure that had something do do with it's performance- and mine that day! lol

    Long live #26!

Glad you like M26 so much! M26 goes back a long way, and when used in conjunction with M07 Show Car Glaze it's one of the most popular and loved combos on dark colors.

When I re do my 2002 Navy Blue Met. Trans Am. I already have #7 which was used on it. I will be topping it with this stuff instead of NXT to see if there is a different. I suspect there will be!

Dark colours will bring out their (M07 and M26's) best. Black, dark blue and darker reds really look great, although I had a close friend with a "white as can be" Hyundai that loved the combo as well- and you have never seen white so clear and reflective as he has his car!

Yeah I love using it with M26. I also chase NXT with M26 sometimes. For this year though, I am going to try the new AutoGlym HD Wax as my LSP after M07 and/or M26.

Also try the new Gold Class Wax, I like it better than NXT.

Truly an underrated wax. Performs great but some sway from it just because its not uber expensive.

I agree TimG. Not the most expensive, or the "latest and greatest" thing on the block in some people's eyes. Some people also miss the fact that just because Meguiars regularly bring out new products the older products don't stop being as effective as they ever were. Case in point 105/205. They are great and I love the ease of use, but the old 83/80 combo is a real winner too, particularly with DA application.

I have only used three or four bottles of it. I mainly use it on black though.

I am more of a sealant man.

I have used #26 liquid for about 10 years. It looks good, and has decent longevity. The look is deep. I tried Pinnacle Souverän paste wax, and although it looks good, I don't think it looks $95 good. The Souverän doesn't last as long as #26

I'm not too much into the boutique waxes, especially when they cost an arm and a leg. #26 is just a fraction of what some the boutique products out there cost, and it is a fine wax
