Hi Guys,
I've never used a rotary buffer or DA before, but today appeared an opportunity to buy an used rotary buffer but I don't know if it is recommended for me.
This is the rotary buffer (it's designed for hobby use):
Skil/Bosch 9050 - 5ยดยด
These are the specs:
- 470 W.
- 2800 rpm
- 5" (130 mm)
- 1,9 kg
Here in Brazil I can't find any of the meguiar's suggested DAs. And if I could find it, it would be too expensive.
Is it worth buying it ($80 in a pre-owned one)? Or perhaps it's better to keep doing the process by hand? I would use the tool to maintain the painting and apply NXT 2.0/ Polish/Cleaner Wax and rarely ScratchX..
Another question: speed is fixed at 2800rpm. Is it too fast for spreading the wax? Could it hurt the painting?
Below are two pics of my car before and after starting to use Meguiar's products (by hand):
before:
after:
I liked the result
Thanks!
Ps: excuse me for my english mistakes
