I use a older Black & Decker 992 rotary polisher and have no idea what the speed is on it! It's 25+ years old! I have noticed that their are recamended speeds for all products and have no idea where I'm at. any advice.

It seems most single speed tools tend to run very quickly, probably more so than you really want for routine paint correction. Comparing it to another tool with known speeds is probably your best bet, and a good idea to be safe.Michael Stoops
