  • M20 topped w/ M26

    All,
I recently went to detailing store that opened up in town, that was displaying a large Meg's flag in the window, they had a decent selection, most of the Detailer line gallon cleaners/dressing and some M** products I was looking for 205 and some of the new pads but they did not have any. They did have some M20 marked incorrectly for 12.24 instead of 21.24 so of course I bought it and used on my black truck which was starting to gather some swirls its last polish was two years ago. M20 did a fantastic job of removing some defects and providing great results I applied it with PC on a tan finishing pad on setting 4.

My question is with M20 being a blend (has some natural wax in it) would I benefit from topping with a natural wax or just another coat.

    Second question.
Im interested in using M21v2 on my new Tahoe, which is going to be clayed and polished with some M205 (swirls removed). Would you top M21 with the M20. Or stick the conventional M21 topped with M26 or another carnuba.
    Thanks.

If your going to do two coats then do two coats of 20. However a lot of people love 26 on Black or red so I say have at it.

Second answer: I would go the other way around 20 first since it is like a cleaner wax. and then 21.

Everybody should have 20 in their toolbox super easy to use and gives super results on white as well.

My question is 21v2 easier to remove than the original 21.

It all depends. No definite answer on this. It's really up to you, you could try and see if you notice any difference and improvement, if you like what you see then go for it!!

I would use M20 and top it with M21

While you obviously don't need to top of any our waxes/sealants with any other product, plenty of people do love the look of M26 or Gold Class Carnauba Plus on top of M21/M20/NXT 2.0. Then again, plenty of people also love the look of any one of these products on their own.

Meguiar's recommends two thin, even coats just to ensure uniform coverage and appearance, but keep in mind that a product with even moderate cleaning ability, such as M20 Polymer Sealant, will remove virtually all of the first coat when applying a second.
