  • My thoughts on Ultimate Wash and Wax

I tried the new Ultimate Wash and Wax today. I was able to pick it up at Advance Auto Parts over the weekend. Overall I was pretty impressed with this new car wash.

The new Ultimate Wash and Wax seemed to have an ample amount of cleaning power, I was surprised at how well it handled the salt and road grime that was on the paint. I usually clean wheels with Deep Crystal Car Wash but went ahead and tried the UW&W on them and I was quite impressed. Hopefully this gives a bit of protection for the wheels. I also let the wash solution dwell on the paint longer than normal and waited a couple minutes longer to rinse, I would imagine this gives the wax some time to adhere to the paint.

There were only two things I did not like about this new car wash though. I did not like the smell and I thought the price was a bit steep. I guess others may like the smell but I did not care for it really. But I will admit with the $5 rebate the price issue is somewhat okay. I will probably buy more when I run out so the product will definitly be a keeper.

    Now, onto the pictures:

    Very salty...

Tires dressed with M40 in case you were wondering...

I also forgot to mention how nice it makes the paint pop for just a wash. It looked pretty nice under direct sunlight when I was on my way back to deliver the car.

I also think this product will be great for maintenence washes so the vechile stays well maintained and has some form of protection on the paint.

    Overall, I give it a

Nice write-up as usual Nick. Do you actually wash the cars in the garage?

Looks like it did the job pretty good! I saw it down at my Advance Auto, I just picked up another jug of GC soap so it'll be awhile before I get around to buying some.

I dressed the tires with M40 Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner and Conditoner. Give it a try, I think it works better than Hyperdressing.

Thank you sir. Yes, I wash the cars in the garage. I am just really careful with the hose and I sweep every drop of water out.

Thanks! All in all, I prefer it over Gold Class. When you run out I suggest you give it a try!

I tried it once around June or July last year, then I forgot about it and then recently started doing it again. I think this is better than Hyperdressing since M40 has some cleaning/conditioning ability and Hyperdressing has no cleaning ability.

Heres a few more pictures of M40 on tires:
