  • Meguiars Professional Hi-Tech Yellow Paste Wax # 26 or Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax Blue

    Hi guys as you remember 2 mounths ago I waxed my new car with M21, and result is impresive for me. But now I want buy a paste wax and I have 2 products in my mind;
-M 26 Hi tech paste wax
    -Poorboys nasty paste wax blue

These two products are not too expensives in Turkey and I don't want to give too much money for other products. Which one is better looking, protecting much more better and more standing much more time? I am looing for your advices....

M26 has been around for around 25 to 30 years and has a very good reputation. It's been reformulated whenever new technology is available so although it's been around a long time it's always current with the times.

I'm sure others can chime in with their thoughts...

M26 is one of my favorite waxes along with NXT 2.0, M21 and M16 respectfully.

M26 gives a deep gloss and dries clear and is easy on, easy off.

Remember to give 2 thin coats.

It will look awesome on that paint of yours!

Are there any differences between M21 and NXT 2.0? Ease of application and removal, looks, feel, durability, etc.?

I have never tried Natty's Blue, but I certainly have read lots of good things about it. I do not think you can go wrong with either product. Try one or the other and see if you like it. Or try both, and let us know how they compare.

There's at least one dedicated thread to this topic in the ___ ______ forum group.

Meguiars # 26 is a new favorite of mine. If only it smelled like NXT lol.

I like your car. Very nice color and the wheels are sweet! Good luck and report back!

In my experience, it lasts longer than M21 or NXT......seems so anyways. my cars are DD and parked outside in the elements and I use UQD in between a proper 5 step and I do a 5 step every quarter or so, at least twice a year, clay and wax inbetween when I have time.

You will like it, trust me.

This may help your decision (and these are "facts" as I believe them, but I'm not a chemist or anything like that)...

M26 is "pure wax" in that it does not clean paint or contain polishes or fillers, so it can be applied on top of anything else (like a polish or sealant) without removing what you just applied. It also is a blend of waxes and polymers, so it can last a little longer than something that contains only carnauba, maybe even as long as other sealants.

Natty's Blue has some pigments in it to help hide imperfections, like minor swirls, which is supposed to help with darker cars. I don't think it lasts as long as M26 (maybe it doesn't use polymer technology like M26?), but it can be applied in direct sun and on hot surfaces, and doesn't stain trim if you accidentally over spread during application.

I have both (but my M26 is liquid), and I like them both. I would say Natty's if I'm in the sun or in a hurry, and M26 if I have the time to be careful about black plastic trim and have some shade available...

Which one would you say looks better?? I have used #26 paste several times and found it a little difficult to apply and remove, but it looks great and IME is pretty dam durable for a carnuba. I have just bought nattys blue hoping to get better results but may not bother if the look is not too different.

Since this thread is a couple of years old he may have already decided.

Whether or not you see much of a visual difference when both have been applied, hazed and wiped off is up to you and your perceptions. We've seen M26 up against carnaubas costing 100 times what M26 costs (no, that is NOT a typo - 100x more expensive than M26) and visually couldn't tell them apart. In fact, nobody in the garage could tell them apart. And even if you can tell them apart, which one you prefer is entirely up to you.
