  • Experience with Infiniti autos?

    Detailing a neighbor's Infiniti this week. Anyone have any experience with this make?

        They have relatively hard paint

        They are excellent cars, and easy to work with.
        They are basically a fancy NISSAN

            Be careful with that assumption!!

            I detailed a brand new light blue Infiniti G37s and it had the softest paint I have ever touched. The thinnest too.

            The owner is a member on Infiniti forums and he said everyone complains about how soft the paint is.

            Some do have very hard clear, usually denoted by a "HARD CLEAR" sticker under the hood. Others, as I found out, are quite soft.

                I'm not sure. All I know is that some with the particularly hard clear coat have a warning sticker. I wouldn't rely on it either way, though. I would still stick to tried and true test spots and least aggressive method first.
