    Im wondering, I still am not sure about using lacquer to clean out the hole...the stuff in your pictures looked kinda thick and like it stayed there. Can I just use like rubbing alcohol or something to clean up whatever may be in the hole...to help the touchup paint stick better?

      rubbing alcohal will work just fine
      If you don't buff it or sand it the paint should stay there for long time
