  • About Paint Reconditioning Cream

    Hello, everyone
Can P.R.C. (Paint Reconditioning Cream) work by hand ?
I bought a bottle of P.R.C., and I try to remove my car's defects with this product.
But when I re-apply three time, the scratch still visible.
    I don't know why ?
And when I use ScratchX 2.0 and re-apply three times, allmost defects were removed.

When I read the Directions on the P.R.C. bottle.
In the section HAND APPLICATION, it says that you just apply a thin even coat of product to the surface with a clean applicator pad then wipe it off.
This means you don't need to work it in ?
Or, P.R.C. just as a kind of wax when apply by hand.

The above is for if you're only using it as a wax as it is a wax. It's a cleaner/wax but it's limited as to what it can do especially by hand.

    What are you working on?

Most cars have clear coats and generally speaking most clear coats are harder than traditional single stage paints and that means it's going to be hard to remove scratches which is done by removing paint.

If you want to remove swirls and scratches, then you need to remove some paint and level the surface, this means whatever product you're suing by hand is must be worked against the paint in order to abrade it.

The other question is ScractchX 2.0 is more aggressive than P.R.C. ?
I think ScracthX 2.0 work very well.
And P.R.C. almost can't remove my car's paint.
I use P.R.C. to remove very light scratch, the scratch is pass fingernail test.

Yes, plus it's a dedicated paint cleaner, not an all-in-one.
