I cleaned up my dad's headlights on his 97 Mercury Villager.
Products:
-Griot's Spray-On car wash
-1500 grit sandpaper
-2000 grit sandpaper
-M105
-M205
-Zaino AIO
-3M blue painter's tape
Tools:
-3M sanding block
-Cyclo polisher
-4" Purple Wool pads
-4" Finishing Pads
Process:
I first cleaned the headlights using Griot's spray-on car wash. Then I masked off the area. I sanded the lenses using 1500 grit paper and lubricated with a mixture of water and a little super soap. I then progressed to 2000 grit paper.
Once I was happy with the wet sanding I used 105 on smaller purple wool pads via the Cyclo. I was very happy with the results. Once the sanding marks were gone I polished the lenses with 205 on Lake Country black finishing pads. To offer some protection, I used Zaino's AIO.
