  • First Write up Detailed Mazda 3 Hatch

I've been a regular visitor to this site for at least 2 years learning more than i could ever hope to. I have been detailing as a job for 2 years and am looking to really make a push for a customer base this year. So lets get to it, I took plenty of pictures, not the best camera, but it gets the job done

    Tools
    NXT Car Wash
    APC + about 10:1
    Multi Piece Wheel cleaner
    Vacuum
Bissell Steam Cleaning Solution and Water 1:1 (for carpets and seats)
#80 on 8006 Pad with the G-100 old school anymore
    #26 Pro Yellow Wax
Quik Detail Clay Kit with Last Touch dilute 1:1
    NXT Window Cleaner
#105 by hand on mirrors and grill piece
    Quik Interior Detailer
    Quik Wheel Cleaner
    ASD on Tires
NXT liquid wax on some interior pieces

This is my girls car and it is kept outside always, its seen several road trips since she got it a year ago and i detailed it once with just some NXT wax, but i was bored and wanted somethin to do. Mazda cc seems to be ridiculously risilient because there was limited swirling but some deeper scratches that i wasn't concerned with.

Number 1 Tool of the Day.

    Industrail Chicken Heater, yea baby.

    Befores

    Interior

The NXT Wax was used on these pieces throughout the car, they scratched to even a microfiber dusting them off, horrible.

I started with the interior since it was about 30 degress out at 9 in the morning, chicken heater only does so much for ya.

    Interior Afters

Mats vacuumed and soaking with the Bissell solution
Stuff works awesome and has scotch guard already in it which I like

You can see the wax on the long center piece above the glove box, really worked wonders.

    Exterior After Wash and Clay

The roof was the only area that really showed any bonded contaminants which was suprising.

Both mirrors had some kind of etching that looked almost like bug splatter, wouldn't come off with claying but was fixed later. They marks have actually been there since she first bought the car.

      Shots During

Had a tough time getting any 50/50 as I only did limited correction and I've never really done the documenting. So my bad.

Above: Some swirls still left, the cc was very hard, but there was evident improvement.

Below: Mirrors cleared up perfectly with a little #105 by hand

Ready for a nice coat of #26

      Bad scratch in the bumper

      All lubed up!!!
I've been doing my wax by hand for a while now, i used to use 9006 but i've always seem better coverage by hand, and plus i alwasy go back and do door handles, mirrors, small trim and stuff by hand anyway.

        Afters/ Reflections

By 6pm there was no more sun, so no full sun shots.

        Yours truly

Thanks for looking, any comments or critiques are more than welcome.

        Peace

The very first after/reflection shot looks like the car is dripping wet. Amazing job!!
