Hi guys, im looking for some guadiance. Im currently buffing a 2007 Black pontaic G6. The outside is awful, looks like some dumped sand on the car,and tried to wash it with that. On Half the trunk i did 3 passes with #80,and a polishing pad. It barley touched any of the marks. So then i tried 2 passes with #83, A tiny bit better, but not much. WHat would be the next step to try? #83 and a cutting pad? Any help would be great

Re: Need advice
Like Matt asked about, which machine you're using will affect any recommendation.
Also, did you clay the paint first? Did it need it?
If you're using a DA Polisher like our G110, the G100 or a PC then look to see if the new ScratchX 2.0 is in your local Walmart as it has started to show up in Walmarts.
Meguiar's doesn't recommend using our cutting pads with a DA Polishers because while they may remove the defects they tend to dull or haze the paint too.
See this thread,
Aggressiveness Order for New Consumer Products - This will surprise you!
Most aggressive to least aggressive -->
That would be from most to least aggressive,- Ultimate Compound
- ScratchX 2.0
- SwirlX
- M83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish
- M205 Ultra Finishing Polish
- ScratchX (Current Version being discontinued)
If you're using a rotary buffer then you can switch to a cutting pad either wool or foam and then try the M83 or possibly get some M105
