  • How to Remove Adhesive from Door Panels?

We just brought home a new '08 Beetle Convertible, and I think they left the interior protective panels on too long. The lower section of the right side door panel is sticky, and is textured too.

I've tried cleaning it off with #40, and also tried Goo Gone and a toothbrush, but it's still sticky.

It's a hard plastic, and I could probably be more agressive than I have been, but I'd like to hear if anyone has suggestions -

WD-40 will do the trick and is safe for the paint.

Mineral spirits might work and it's cheap in quantity and available at any Lowe's or Home Depot.

Always test anything you want to try to a small area and make sure it doesn't harm the underlying surface.

I would try the mineral spirets or the WD-40. In have had great results with both.

                I forgot about WD-40...

Not much resists WD-40 - I'll give it a try tomorrow
