Wiping Car After Rain

Howdy,

When you come out of the rain and park in your garage, how do you guys go about drying and cleaning your car?

My car has been sitting in the garage and I can see a little dust on it. I know if I go out into the rain, that dust will most likely turn into runny dirt, or might just wash off completely if its raining pretty good out there.

Is this a nice car that you're worried about scratching the paint or a beater?

Use a quick detailer and / or a microfiber towel and you should be all set.

Wash the car with free flowing water and try to rinse as much dust and dirt off the paint before touching it.

Always make sure everything that touches the paint is the best quality you can find.

Better to be safe than sorry!

I did the 5 step procedure last weekend, so the car is well protected.

I will wait and do a good wash tomorrow.

I would wait till you got home and evaluated the condition. Should I qd or Wash. When in doubt always wash. Better to be safe then sorry.

Yeah I learned my lesson in that thread. I always just wait and wash now because I'm a pretty busy guy. A good coat of wax will protect it!
