    Citroen C3 Wheel Detail

    Hiya

I had noticed the wheels on my mum’s Citroen getting brake dust build up rather quickly after washing, and she doesn’t do many miles (100miles a week max), so it was time for a wheels off detail. I was to say the least shocked at the state in just 38,000 miles on a 2002 car (mine have always cleaned easy and it’s a 2003 with more than 40k on), unfortunately this top of the range car has pads all round. It took at least four (one hour each) hours in total. The good news is they are staying a lot cleaner for longer.

(in some photos there is a tin of cellulose thinners this was not used, it was left there from me cleaning the paint brushes after touching up stone chips etc)

    Products:

    Wonder Wheels
    Megs Hot Rims
    APC
Fairy Power Spray (for arch liners, no photos, sorry)
    Various Brushes and Sponges
    AG Intensive Tar Remover

    Megs GC Liquid Wax
    Collinite 476

    Front Wheel Afters:

    Rears:

    Some Different Tyre Dressings:

    AG Rubber and Vinyl Care

    Sonus Total Eclipse

    Megs Hot Shine

    After Whole Car:

    Thanks
    Christian

Wow, looks good. How hard was it to get all of the brake dust off?

      Very nice job Christian!
Those inner parts of the rims were DIRTY! Did your mom like what you did?

Nice work... that's a pretty grungy job, (been there done that don't ever want to do it again).

          Interesting looking car...

That is a huge improvement. The wheels look so much better. Great work.

              Looks great.

Definately not an easy wheel pattern to care for.... why dont all cars come with nice big openings between spokes...

thank for all the kind comments, makes the job seem all worth it. also yes they were very hard to clean i nearly chucked every thing i had at them, im gonna get some special wheels cleaners to aim for a bit better results when the weather warms, my mum wasnt fussed, i did it for myself as i get the fun job of cleaning then, also she hasnt cleaned a car yet (she 58 years old!)
