Re: Polish Your Grill / BBQ Smoker?

Just wanted to post a follow-up on this thread.

I used a bit of the Eagle One Nano Metal Polish on the stainless portions of my Vermont Castings and I really liked the results. The steel is probably NOT coated from the factory since my microfiber turned black where I used the product. If nothing else, I think the polish will provide a barrier to the elements and keep the metal looking good.

I'd assume that NXT Metal Polish would work equally as well. Once I get a can if it from ADS, I'll give it a shot.

Regurgitating an old thread, as I didn't want to start another.

I have used Meguiar's M02 on the outside of my Weber kettles to clean them up. No need for wax, especially since the high temps would probably burn them off on first use. But the M02 (Fine Cut Cleaner) works nicely to remove the grunge, water spots, etc. that accumulate over the months. And while the finish isn't exactly like a brand new kettle, it looks good enough and has a shine to it.

I'm smoking a rack of spare ribs on mine right now. Takes about 5-6 hours...enjoy the smell if you're downwind.
