so i am new to the site and thought i would post some photos of my 2004 dodge ram. it's currently in the body shop after receiving a custom paint job. two guys who are claiming to be detailers are cutting and buffing the truck. here are some photos of them working:

the detailers are kevin brown and jason rose. do you think i can trust these guys with my new paint?

These days it seems anyone who owns a buffer calls themselves a "detailer". Here at MOL we've seen far too many people asking how to fix what their so called "pro" detailer messed up.

Something tells me, though, that you won't have this sort of problem with these two guys. You're a lucky girl indeed. The "after" shots of this project are going to be spectacular - we can just feel it.

              Re: my 2004 dodge ram

kevin put me up to this.

my boyfriend and his business partner helped out with the alpine electronics build for CES this past year, so i was lucky enough to go down to LA and see the kind of work that these guys do. i was blown away. and again, lucky for me, kevin and jason were up for another project on my truck. i can't thank these guys enough for the amazing job they are doing.

and they definitely are state of the art professionals! i will post more photos later this week and i'm sure kevin and/or jason will chime in to answer some questions.

The truck has a very nice paint job- The guys that prepped & painted it took the time to make it right.

It has a lot of clear.
I kinda wish we'd had some 16" long-block paper to knock things down a bit more evenly, but the truck will look good without.
Besides- We're doing product testing, too, so we're mimicking a specific method of sanding & polishing.

This is the truck I was working on referred to in this thread:

It's gonna be a bad mamma-jamma when completed... Interior, exterior, engine... And the stereo-connection? Puh-leez!

ok everyone, i apologize it's been a really long time and i've let this thread go. the good news is, the truck is finished! kevin and jason did a fantastic job polishing and boy does the truck shine. i also want to make a shout-out to jeff brown for coming down to help out. thanks so much, jeff!!

here are some more photos of the guys working and a bunch of pictures of the truck. i didn't get too many shots of the polishing because i was usually working on stuff of my own, but enjoy the photos and check out the videos linked at the bottom, as well!

jason and the huge tonneau cover and tailgate

                          finished photo!

jason and jeff, makin' it perfect

kevin takes some time out for a photo opportunity. silly kevin!

                          spooky jeff!

and here are some photos of the truck now that it's 100% finished and put back together. hood scoop grill, custom intake attachment and painted HEMI hat.

a close-up of the paint. shiny!

no, that is not a scratch. i think they got the paint to reflect an airplane contrail!

here are some outside photos. let's start out with my favorite one!

                          ready for the logos?

how about some interior shots? here is the underside of the tonneau cover, upholstered in black suede with the new super bee font embroidered in the center:

my new seats, katzkins tuscany leather with yellow unisuede inserts, yellow stitching and the super bee logo. the underside of the center console even got a little bit of suede:

here are some pictures of the stereo. completed box and crossover pods:

audiocontrol dqs in under seat storage compartment:

finally, the dash pods and custom radio bezel with the not-so-super-secret-anymore ipod compartment!

and here are some videos. the first two are of the exhaust as it is now and the last one is of the ipod in action.

i'm sure the guys will answer any questions about what they used to polish the truck and i will answer any i can about the stereo or anything else. it's been a long process, but i'm sure happy it's finished. now hopefully we can get it sponsored and off to a few of the shows. anyone wanna help me get it to SEMA?

the mods aren't finished. i hope to get a set of headers and a supercharger shortly, hence the name super bee.
