  • 2006 Blue Suzuki Reno, M105!

This detail was one that I didn't exactly look forward to but I truly enjoyed it when it was compete. I was reminded how much I enjoy working with Ultrafina, and how much power M105 has but finishes so nice!

    Wash:

Meg's NXT wash using two-bucket method with grit guards
    Schmitt mitt
APC+ on wheel wells and tires
APC+ on lower half of car
wells and tires scrubbed with various brushes
    dried with WW towel
Wheel wells and tires got Meg's Hyperdressing 4:1

    Paint

Clayed with Blue Meg's mild clay bar using Meg's last touch as lube
Meg's 105 on LC CCS orange pad on Flex @ 6
3M Ultrafina on LC CCS grey pad on Fex @ 4-6-4
Meg's 105 on LC CCS 4" orange on UDM @ 6 on small or narrow areas
    IPA wipe down

    LSP

Liquid Souveran on LC CCS red pad on UDM
Final wipe down with FK 425 on the entire exterior

This is a pic of the combo used on the small tight spots on the car everything else done with listed above. (sorry no others pics of equipment used)

    Now the pics

    Before:

50/50 after M105 and Ultrafina no wax applied yet.

Great Work all them swirls have gone, some top work, was the flex da/rotary?, also this car reminds me of the Chevrolet Lacceti we have over here (Top Gears second reasonably priced car)

        Very nice correction work.
How long did you work 105 until stopping? Just interested.

Liquid Souveran is one of my favorite LSP's.

105 only gave me max of 20 seconds, it was about 90 out and the humidity was very high as it always is in Michigan.

I wish I had more orange LC pads with the way 105 was gumming up my pads.

Just a couple questions. Have you ever tried the 3m pad that's designed to go with Ultrafina?
And how does this stack up against the other's like Meg's 82 and Menzerna PO106FF

Looks great! But it looks like 105 was a little overkill? I could think of some less aggressive combos that would've worked without going so aggressive? Looks good though.

Re: 2006 Blue Suzuki Reno, M105!

the pics didn't show the severity of the paint, I chose m105 cause it finishes down so well, 83 might have done close to what 105 did but I didn't compare. I also tried 105 and a white LC CCS pad and did not achieve desired results which put me back to the orange pad.

I have not tried the ultrafina pad, I've herd nothing but great things about it and in my experience it has less cut then Menzerna PO106ff. Unfortunately I have not used Meg's 82.

I always like to do a IPA wipe down after I use a final polish to make sure there are no filler oils on the paint to guarantee full correction.

Thank you for all the complements!!

105 sure did finish off nice, I hope they come out with a version or perhaps an equivalent product that can be used with the PC. Did you use the 105 by hand on any of the little nook and cranny areas that you can't get to by machine?

I used 105 on a UDM with a 4" pad on the small exterior areas, I did not run into any areas i couldnt get to with that combo.
