  • Plastic on Bumpers

I have a 93 Benz with black bumpers in front and rear. Does anyone know how to get scratches out of them? It appears the previous owner may have grazed a pole or something. I did the paint with DC paint cleaner and it worked wonders. Still have some swirls and scratches that need to be addressed. I'm thinking of ordering M80 or M83 to finish.

When you say black, do you mean that black/gray textured kind of plastic?

Or plastic bumpers that are painted black?

There is no real way to fix those. If you sanded them at all, you would remove the texture, so it would always stand out. I guess if there are any burs, yo ucould at least remove those. Then you just have to dress it with something like the Gold Class Trim Detailer, or other dressings fro mthe Pro/Detailer Line, and hope it blends in.
