    FLEX LK603VVB Circular Polisher

Something new by flex. Don't know how long has it been here:

    http://www.autogeek.net/flex-lk603vv...-polisher.html

Claims to have "...combines the best features of the Makita 9227 and the DeWalt 849 into one sophisticated rotary polisher."

Anybody got/reviewed one? Does it lives up to its claim?

Interesting Ad. As a newbie, I was wondering why you are impressed and what this machine will do that is better than a PC.

It is my understanding that the PC allows me to do a good job while being "forgiving" at the same time.

This is probably a stupid question, so please feel free to ignore this post and I mean no disrespect.

You're right ZoranC, I'd failed to noticed that it's weight is nearly as heavy as the Dewalt and 1 lb heavier than the Makita. Guess there's really not many out there that can match the Makita.

Just out of interest and curiosity anybody out there has any experience with it?

Flex does have model that is much lighter, 4.9lbs, but AG does not carry it. However that model starts at 1100rpm.

Lightest high quality rotary that starts at 0rpm I am aware of is Dynabrade. It is also 4.9lbs.

I've been using a Milwaukee 5540 for a little over a year now? Powerful, but mucho heavy! Don't need to go to a health club with this baby.

Cool Re: FLEX LK603VVB Circular Polisher

Considering that the LK603VVB’s specs are basically identical to he Porter-Cable 7428’s and that the 7428 was manufactured in Germany by Port-Cable’s then European division, Flex-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH, I’m guessing it works the same as the 7428, which is an excellent machine.

These are rotary polishers. They’re far more powerful than a PC. They’re not forgiving like a PC but they can accomplish things that a PC simply can’t.

Are you think about the L1503VR? It’s the slowest of their compact, powerful buffers but I agree it’s still too fast for polishing paint. That series is really aimed stone and metal working.

The LK302VE is intended for paint buffing, runs from 800-2,000 RPM and weighs 6.5 lbs. But it’s a lot less powerful than the LK603VVB, Makita, Hitachi and Dewalt (on paper anyway).

    PC.

I did a search and I think the model ZoranC referred to is the L 3403 VRG.
