Getting Registered - Becoming an official member of Meguiar's Online

    Please Please Please
Please read the first two things below, many people register with the forum and then e-mail me and ask me why they can't get post to the forum and it's because of the first two things below.

First: When you register, after you fill out the registration form and hit the Submit button, the e-mail address you used to join the forum with will be sent a confirmation e-mail.

Second: You must locate this confirmation e-mail and open it and then click the confirmation link inside of it to confirm your registration. See the picture below, everyone that registers gets this message telling you to check your in-box or even Junk or Spam folders to find the CONFIRMATION E-MAIL. You MUST find this e-mail and click on the CONFIRMATION LINK.

Here's what the Confirmation E-mail looks like, notice where we've placed a RED rectangular box, this is the link you need to >Click on< in order to confirm you account.

Third: After you have done both of these two things, we will approve your account and then you can either reply to a thread or start your own thread. You can also sign-up for a detailing class. (You sign-up by "replying" to a sign-up thread).

Junk Mail or Spam Mail Folders
If you're not finding this confirmation e-mail in your in-box then you need to look in your Spam folder, or Junk E-mail folder, or wherever else you receive incoming e-mails.

If you don't find the Confirmation E-mail and click on the Confirmation Link then your registration goes into Pending accounts and sits there until you do click on the confirmation link.

Just to note, most Spammers and Scammers are in this pending account queue because they don't check their incoming e-mail or they use false e-mail addresses thus they don't get the confirmation e-mail. Because they don't ever confirm their accounts the pending accounts folder fills up with junk accounts.

    Please check your in-box
So please check your incoming e-mail and find that confirmation e-mail and click on the confirmation link. If you can't find the confirmation e-mail, then shoot us an e-mail to let us know and we'll look up your pending account using the e-mail address you contact us with.

Click here to register with Meguiar's Online

    p.s.

We usually approve accounts Monday through Friday in the mornings, to find out why read this article.

    ***Bump***

If you find that you cannot post a reply or access your control panel even though you've registered, you still have to CONFIRM your account by clicking the link that is sent to you in a CONFIRMATION E-MAIL.

If you don't click the link you end up in a holding database filled with primarily Spammers.

If you have registered and can't interact on the forum and can't locate the confirmation e-mail then shoot me an e-mail and we'll locate your account and move it out of the Spammers accounts.

    Thanks!

Re: Getting Registered with the MOL forum

Here's a screen shot of what the Users Awaiting Email Confirmation looks like. Most of these are Spammers...

If you're trying to join the forum, after you fill out the registration forum and hit the "Submit" button, you then have to click on the "Confirmation Link" that will be immediately sent to you in a "Confirmation E-mail".

If you don't find this e-mail and click on this link... you will be sit in the above Usergroup and you will not be able to post to the forum.

If you don't get a Confirmation E-mail in your in-box, then check your Junk Folder or Spam Folder because our software does in fact send you the Confirmation E-mail.

If you still can't find it, then shoot me an e-mail and make sure I have the e-mail you used to register with as that is what I will use to search for your pending account.

      Thanks,

Re: Getting Registered with the MOL forum

Just to note, after you fill out the registration forum and hit the Submit button, the next screen that shows up tells you that an e-mail has been sent to you and you must locate the e-mail, open it and click on the confirmation e-mail.

It's really not that complicated yet I get up to a doze people a day e-mailing because they can't post and the reason they can't post is because they have not CONFIRMED their own account.

        So please... read and click...

        Thanks...

After you register you need to find the confirmation e-mail and click the confirmation link or your account sits in a group of Spammers.

After you register, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your e-mail and confirm your account.

There's just not enough typing time in a day to deal with all the e-mails we get from people waiting to post to the forum but who have NOT confirmed their own account.

It's a safety precaution to reduce Spammers.

          Thank you.

You have to "Actively" look for the confirmation e-mail and then open it and then click on the "Confirmation" link to confirm you're a Real Person with a Real E-mail address.

            Thank you!

Re: Getting Registered with the MOL forum

Just another reminder, after you click on the SUBMIT button when you register, you instantly get the below message.

You must locate this confirmation e-mail and open it and then click the confirmation link inside of it to confirm your registration

You MUST find this e-mail and click on the CONFIRMATION LINK.

Otherwise your registration sits in a "Pending Accounts" and after a week we delete it. We can't let these pending accounts just build up or they reach the hundreds each week, so we delete them.

              Hope this helps...

Re: Getting Registered with the MOL forum

                  Please, Please, Please...

When you register with the forum, after you hit the submit button the next thing to pop up on your computer screen is a message that tells you you're going to get an e-mail and you need to open this e-mail and click on the confirmation link.

If you don't, your account sits in a "Pending Account" and thus you cannot post.

Only sign-up using an e-mail account you actually check.

After about a week we delete all the pending accounts.

Sorry but we can't just let them pile up and you're supposed to confirm your own account because that's how you confirm you're a real person, with a real e-mail address.

                  Thank you!

                  p.s.

Our software sends you the confirmation e-mail, if you don't see it in your in-box that means YOUR Internet Provider or your E-mail software either blocked it from getting to you or placed the e-mail in a spam or junk mail folder. It's still you job to open these folders and find this e-mail and confirm your own account.

                    Bump

So many people fill out the registration but fail to check their e-mail and confirm their account.

So their account sits in a queue called,

                    Users awaiting e-mail confirmation

Here's the deal, you have to confirm your own account.

Read and look at the pictures in the first post of this thread, the SCREENSHOT shows you what you were shown AFTER you hit the Submit button to register.

                    Thanks!

Re: Getting Registered with the MOL forum

After you register with pretty much ANY discussion forum, you are sent a

                      Confirmation E-mail

In order to finish your registration you must locate this e-mail, (your job), and then open it and the click the link inside of it that confirms that you really are a real person using a valid e-mail address.

Then your account will be approved.

If you don't do the above your account sits in a folder called,

                      "Users awaiting e-mail confirmation"

We will send you and e-mail with a link to this thread which explains with text and pictures that after you hit the "Submit" button to register with this forum the next screen on your computer told you that you will be sent a confirmation e-mail and you must open it and confirm your account.

It is this process that insures real people with real e-mail addresses are joining the forum.

After we send you the courtesy e-mail letting you know you have not done the confirmation step we will move your pending account into another folder to hold it for about a week and if you never confirm your account then we delete it as we can't just let these pending accounts pile up for eternity.

If you're reading this because this link was sent to you in an e-mail then you need to look inside your in-box, or possibly a Spam or Junk mail folder to see if your e-mail software or your ISP placed the confirmation in one of these folders or contact myself directly via e-mail and I can manually confirm you.

                      Thank you....
