  • How to clean a tire protectant applicator

What is the best way to clean a tire applicator? My mom is complaining that it is oozing on the cabinet even though I cleaned it with water and squeezed it very well.

Water will not do much of anything without a detergent, such as dish soap or a degreaser.

Try squeezing the stuff out under running water. Then, try getting the stuff off of your hands!!! Funny story - my hands actually beaded water...

Back to the subject: I personally just let mine be. It is 7 years old and it came from the Endurance kit, but it still works great. You might try storing it in a plastic bag.

I keep mine in ZIP-Lock bags and then I only use then when I'm wearing latex gloves.

After application I squeeze the excess dressing out on to a paper towel seems to work for me. Not sure it will ever come 'clean'.

i use the Eagle One applicators and they're so cheap that i don't bother to worry. they're like a buck over here.

but i just use it and reuse it and put it in a ziploc. haven't had to get a new one yet. very durable.

I always put mine in a paper towel then put it into a plastic bag. All the extra shine will be soaked up by the paper towel.. Seems to work out great.
