    Re: ANY GPS Recommendations??

I bought the Alpine Blackbird, and I've been extremely happy with it. Granted, this is my first portable GPS unit, but so far it has been great! Also doubles as a MP3 player.

    Good graphics
Easy to navagate thru the menu
Easy to set up your destinations
    FM transmitter
And I'm sure they are all pretty comparable to each other as far as reliability.

Only complaint that I have about it is that it takes a little too long to get a good satilite signal when you first fire it up. I say a long time, maybe 1-2 minutes.

Garmin Nuvi, either the 360 or 660 depending on your budget. Very small and compact but with a big screen. Several of my friends have them and not a hint of a problem with any of them. I'm totally jealous.

Check amazon.com for full specs and then search at pricewatch.com for the best prices. Amazon can hard to beat price wise an often give you free shipping. Make sure to add any tax and/or shipping that various sites charge when comparing prices.

Seriously, everything else pales by comparison.

NUVI 360 here. I have two. I bought one at Sams club for $699 and the other on Ebay for $520

We use them everyday. I take one when I travel to Florida. I love them!!

My Nuvi 350 has more bells and whistles than I will ever use, But the "text to speech" feature is the bombdigity! I highly recommend this unit
