  • Removing wax residue from black paint chips

I just waxed my charcoal grey 91 Accord yestereday, using Colorx and a Sears 6" d/a polisher. The finished results were great, except for the white wax residue left in the small rock chips in the paint. Is there a way to remove that residue without removing the wax from the surrrounding areas?

    Thanks,

    Chuck

I suggest you try a soft brush (maybe a toothbrush) and some Quik Detailer. That should help some, and it won't affect the wax around the chips.

Thanks Lydia. I'll give that a try as soon as I get over this cold that I caught while waxing the car

Sometimes just your next wash will also solve the problem.
