  • Nasty Black car got detailed

This black Naza Citra has a reputation of being greyish black instead of pure black. It's time to do something about it. I spent one Saturday afternoon detailing my friends car with the following steps (all done by hand):

    1) Wash
    2) Clay (hood only)
    3) ColorX
    4) GC Wax

    Right-side (test area)
    1) Wash
    2) DC1 Painter Cleaner
    3) DC2 Polish
    4) NXT Wax x 2 layer

I didn't notice significant difference in depth and gloss using the DC1+DC2+NXT compared to just ColorX+GC Wax. Hold on dietoremain, photos are coming....

Here are some photos after the detailing job:

Thanks guys for your comments. I think I wouldn't have gotten the hood to look so good if I had skipped the claying step, it really made it look as smooth as glass. Anyway, I'm really amazed at what ColorX can do! It just darken the black color dramatically, all in 1 easy step. Excellent product!

                  Cool reflections!

BTW, is it me or is that a re-badeged Kia Carens?

                      Alex,
Yes, it is a rebadged version of Kia Carens. But the original Carens has a darker black paint than this Naza. The tail lights and bumper are also slightly different from Kia. Other than that, they are identical cars.
