  • rust spots on rims?

Hey guys, i have a question. Earlier today i was cleaning a new Dodge Magnum SRT-8 which had 20" aftermarket black rims with a chrome lip. My problem is that the lip on the rims had spots all over the, which to me, looked like rust spots. What can i use to get these spots off for him? i tried chrome polish, a few different wheels cleaners, and ALOT of elbow greese......no pictures of it sorry. any help/tips would be AWESOME! thanks guys!

Try either a power washer or just keep polishing it with aluminum polish. You might want to try Scratch-X. I did a car with rust on a chromed bumper and the power washer got it all off. I've never tried Scratch-X, but it might help?

Are you sure it's rust and not black overspray?
