Removing overspray from auto glass

I purchased a second hand Acura this year which had some minor body work done to the passenger side doors. I have a haze on the passenger side windows -- what looks like auto paint overspray.

The "detailer" at my dealership tried to remove the haze on the front passenger window using No Touch Auto Glass Stripper, but scratched the heck out of the glass in the process. Needless to say, they won't be touching my car again...

Does anyone have suggestions for a gentler method of removing the haze? Would clay work?

I belive that clay was made for situations like this. Its first name was "overspray clay". Give it a try and if that does not work, try some turpentine (BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET ON FINISH!!!).

use the meguiars quick clay or the mother california clay bar.that should take care of the problem just be sure to use alot of lube.
this can also benefit your paint aswell.both of thses cay bars are very easy to use.

Well -- I tried the Meguiars Quik Clay, but no luck. I also very carefully tried a bit of paint thinner, which had no effect on the haze. I think I may have to replace the windows...

Can you post a photo of the problem? Perhaps if we can get a look at it, we may be able to find a solution.

This might be a glass defect or some terrible tinting issue. Can you feel the bumps (inside or ousidge of window)?

why not make it easy on yourself and just use some lacuqer thinner

Did you try 0000 steel wool?

I had the same problem yesterday I sprayed some brake parts cleaner on a rag took care of it.
