okay so why does it take three attempts to actually log me in?
and why does it automatically log me out when i'm viewing some threads?

it has happened to me, but usually on other computers. sometimes when i sign in it wont let me, i have to use a different login page instead of the top right one.
yupe. same here. then i have to sign in sometimes 3 times although it'll say THank you for logging in Trufflepig, click here etc...
First a question for both of you, which browser are you using to read MOL?
I have two Dell laptop computers, one from work one is my personal laptop. I have both IE and Firefox loaded on both. Firefox works fine on my work Dell laptop, that is it will log me in and I'll stay logged in. With my personal Dell laptop it just doesn't work. I can read the MOL forum with it but it won't log me in. When I log in it always returns the page just like it was.
I've tried deleting and re-installing and monkied with all of the settings and still it will not work.
Ghost in the machine?
Don't know, but it is annoying as Firefox is a great browser.

ahhaha, well, i think we have our culprit! I am running firefox 2.0 and its fine if i stay signed in, but when i try to sign in it gets tricky. I love firefox too.
Same problem here.
I am using Firefox and I can not log in from the main MOL page. I have to click on Forum at the top of the MOL page and then once I am in the forum I log in and it works fine. However if I go back to the main MOL page I get logged out again.
Sounds like a problem with the cookie settings in Firefox. By the way, never had a problem here with Safari on the Mac.
Leo
I have had the same problem with both firefox and monzilla

No problem here at all. I use IE 6.
FireFox all the way.
