  • Cleaner/Wax: Is it abrasive at all?

I am wondering if cleaner/wax contains any abrassive at all?
Does is contain 50-50 cleaner & wax or more wax than the cleaner or the other way around?

It may contain a little bit of a diminishing abrasive, but very mild if it does. It is a very mild product overall.

As far as percents, that is kind of hard to say, and it probably has some polishing oils as well, which will throw it off further.

It's important that when we discuss Meguiar's cleaner/waxes, or compounds, paint cleaners and cleaner/polishes for that matter, that we include the term diminishing because there's a lot of difference between different type of abrasives and the goal of Meguiar's product is to create a beautiful show car finish and this cannot be done using coarse old-fashioned abrasives or abrasive products.

Meguiar's uses and pioneered the use of diminishing abrasive ever since introducing their first products back in 1901

Now the answer to you question is Meguiar's Cleaner/Waxes are not like the normal cleaner/waxes everyone else offers, ours are a complex combination of chemical cleaners, diminishing abrasives, polishing oils for gloss and beauty and protection ingredients that are both natural and synthetic.

There's a reason our first cleaner/wax A12 Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax is still around since it was introduced in 1973, (that's 34 years), and is the Number 1 selling cleaner/wax in the U.S. and possibly the world.

Remember, whenever you're using a cleaner/wax, part of the cleaning action comes from the product but just as important is the cleaning part that is provided by you and the passion you put behind your hand or the way you use a machine.

      Hope this helps...
