  • using pads on both clear coat and single stage paint

My wife got me a G100 for my birthday and I just used it on my Miata. It is a red 1990 and was repainted by a previous owner with a single stage paint. I also have a 2004 Black Mazda 6 Sportwagon that of course has a clearcoat paint. I was impressed at how well the Miata came out, being my first time and all. If I want to use a pad (7006) that I used on my single stage paint Miata first, on my 6 would that be ok? I have cleaned the pad and it appears that all of the product is removed, but there is some of the paint that has dyed the pad. Would any of the single stage red paint be transferred to the my 6?

    Thanks

It’s no problem, go ahead and use the same pads on both.
