  • Do you wax or seal after polishing chrome

I have always wondered how benificial it would be to wax or use a sealant after you use a chrome polish. I don't do this every time I polish chrome, because it says it has a potectant in the polish itself. Just wondered what the rest of you on the forum did. Also was just questoning how good of a bond you get with it? After all this is made to bond to clear coat resin. Correct?
Thanks for any input on this, Fox

Re: Do you wax or seal after polishing chrome

Well, people wax clear coats, SS paints, lacquer based paints, glass, counter tops, etc. So no, the surface doesnt matter too much.

But if your chrome is in a low-heat location, not mufler/tips, then waxing would last a while, can maked wheels easier to clean, and perhaps make it even shinier.
