  • Seat Care...................

The driver's side bolster on my '03 Viper SRT 10 is beginning to show signs of wear, notwithstanding my efforts to minimize sliding friction on entering and exiting the car. Additionally, I keep the seats clean and use Meguiar's Aloe Conditioner monthly.

    Any suggestions????????

    Don

Unfortunately, this is a common "feature" of cars with raised side bolsters

This is very true... Purchasing new seat covers in the future has always been in the back of my mind. My Lightning is showing some wear on the side bolsters and its a common problem. Its even more difficult to get into a truck gently. I have come up with this little jump while holding on to the oh'you know what handle and 'plop' into the seat.

Who knows if its really going to help but I guess it makes me feel better!

Could it be that you are sacrificing the seat cushion, stitching and cover where you're plopping down onto to save the bolstered area?

Which is the worser of the two evils?

No way to win is there.

I guess when you use something its going to show some wear. I guess I could ride my bicycle!?!?

Or you could learn to float?

Another option would be to save the seats in your truck by pulling them out and then use some U-bolts to bolt in some cheapie aluminum lawn chairs, kind of like the chair used here for this homemade Bassboat,
